Things are starting to come together

Raymond, why so big of a throttle body?

Accufab recommended an 80mm for my 427 cid and that has the IAC built in.

No real technical reason, I just wanted to make sure it was enough and at first I thought the remote IAC would be OK. But Aaron at 6061 ended up having a new, but older model 90mm with IAC so he let me swap them.

TB came in today, Accufab doesn't make these any more with the IAC in a 90mm was lucky to get this one.

I really need to start assembling rather that disassembling, but there's no way I am going to put all those pretty new parts in a dirty truck :) Luckily it's just dust from storage and grime from being a DD for a couple of years. Once clean everything is going to get hit with SPI Epoxy. Also don't make fun of the "trans support" it's only temporary until the trans comes out. The pics make the flash rust look worse than it is, but nothing a wire wheel won't clean up.

My buddy runs a well drilling rig here in Florida and the back gets to be a greasy mess and that is exactly what he does too, works great!

OK, don't get that crap on your skin! Some must have splattered down in my shoe. The skin around my ankle feels like it is dissolving...

But, like the others said it does a good job, removes paint too so be careful. Letting it dry in the sun, I'll probably rinse it another time or two then get rid of any rust and paint it.

Found a bunch of dirt on the backside of the crossmember so I hit it with the nuclear purple and rinsed it. I will probably shoot the epoxy on Sunday. Tomorrow I think I'll pull the bumper to get ready for the intercooler

Never tried that stuff. Looks like it works pretty darn good.

While I was waiting for it to soak in on the greasy spot I found I started hitting the rest of the cross member and rails with a wire wheel. Any dirt or old paint came right off. Again though, keep it away from your skin, my ankle looks nasty.

Thanks! The truck only has 67k on it, It would have a ton less but I had to DD it for 2 years.
