One other thing to think about, does anyone know if the stock master cylinder would supply enough pressure for the new calipers?
No, but going to a F250/350 master/booster would be easy enough.

Sweeet. Now someone post up a "parts list" of everything you will need to do this. Im not that lazy I just want it to be correct.
Do they make drilled and slotted rotors for the E150s too?
Thanks for all the time and effort guys.
2004 E150
spindle
(04-08?)rotor
caliper
brake lines
94 Lightning lower ball joints
04 E150 upper ball joints.
Summit racing is saying front rotors for 04 E150 is 11.7"..

What about the rears?....and I wonder if you could adapt the brackets to the 8.8.
Funny you should bring that up... I just got off the phone with a guy at the wrecking yard and he SWEARS that he has;
a 2004 E150 with 4.6L and it has a 8.8" with REAR Disc &
a 2004 E150 with 5.4L and it has a 9.75" with REAR Disc
So allegedly there is a 8.8 with rear disc under the E150 also??? I've spent enough time on the front end research who wants to dig into that verification?

You are correct.....the 5.4 has a 9.75 and the 4.6 has the 8.8.
ldtu:
Also,the 5.4 comes in either 3.55,or 3.73.where as the 4.6 comes in 3.55,3.73,and 4.10 (all 8.8)
will the E spindle change the ride height in any way?

So what's the reason we can't just bolt the caliper and caliper bracket right to our spindle? Here is a link to caliper and bracket. Cardone 18-4937 - Unloaded Brake Caliper | O'Reilly Auto Parts I think i'll buy either the bracket or the caliper and bracket and see if it will bolt up if not I can return it to the parts store.
