Cobra F-1 Hoods for Gen II Lightning, F-150

Drove my truck to the paint guy Mon. or Tue., drove home with no hood. Hope to get it back in a week or two.

I'm gonna fit the hood and smooth cowl this weekend, then off to the body shop!!!!!!!!!!!!

cant stop smiling:confused:

We had to create a depression at the drivers side front of the hood, bottom side. The upper air deflector (radiator cover) has a hump and we had to relieve the bottom side of the hood for clearance. No biggee. When you check the fit, you may notice that the left front corner is elevated. I thought the hood bumpers were too high until I screwed it all the way down. My friend (Paint Guy) just cut a hole for relief then took fiberglass and built a recess where he cut the hole. Looks factory and no more rub.

Not to tease any one.......

Here it is....

Not going to the body shop for three weeks:?

Looks good. Mine is in the paint shop now. We lost a week waiting for the rain to stop so we could put it out in the sun after sanding the gel coat. Can't wait to take my truck back to put the hood back on.
