What is the best way to fix this? Should I clearance the frame? It only seens to do it around 2000-2200rpm. Unfortunatly that is highway cruise speed & a common crossing rpm between shifts
I had the same problem with the Bassani system on my '93L. The right side header - x pipe flange was about 1/16 " away from the frame and would rattle around 2000 rpm or so. I took a die grinder with a 3/8" carbide burr on it and ran it between the exhaust and the frame rail. I ended up taking a little metal away from both the frame and the exhaust. It's totally quiet now.
I tried to correct this problem with bending the header or the x-pipe but both were too strong to move. Removing a little metal was the only way to fix it.
