Would finding a 1999 Lightning for around $15,000 be possible?

Please give me some good news. I am looking into getting one in July and only have about $15,000 to spend. I don't care about the mileage, I just want one. So will it be possible to find one for that much? I've seen a few go for $17-19k, but nothing under it. Give me some good news guys! :D

um, no

If you can do without a motor, wheels, and interior, maybe. If not, you're screwed. Unfortunately for the buyer, for fortunate for the seller, the 95's still go for that amount. I would think $22,000 is the lowest you'll find. Good luck though.

i saw one in dallas, ga on a used car lot with huge sticker for
19,900 about 1 month ago, from the road looked to be in good shape, thats the cheapest i've seen.

:( that sucks. the L is my dream truck. i dont want a gen I, im more of a gen II guy. oh well...i will still look. also, i dont care where i have to drive. let it be california or montana.

edit: i live in miami

I bought my 99L for 17K even!! It had 36,000 miles, an entire set of new brakes, new tires all the way around, full tune up, belts, hoses, and a powertrain esp warranty. I traded my 97 f-150 in, it had an 11psi powerdyne on it. They gave me 3K over book for it, and dropped the price of the L. I couldn't sign the papers fast enough. I bought it at an SVT dealer, it had just come in on trade. The slick rick salesman said that mine was the first he had seen come in on a trade. They are out there though. Good luck looking!!!:)

Is it $15k cash? If so, put that down and finance the other $7k or whatever the balance is. That's a mighty small auto loan :)

bought mine for a tad over 20k about 6 months ago. it had 17000 miles on it and appears that it had never been in a wreck or in the rain. Just happened to be brosing around Carmax and saw it sitting on their show room floor. my jaw hit the floor when i saw the sticker in the window. it was almost 9:00 at night and they had just brought it in on the showroom floor minutes earlier. already three other guys were trying to make a deal on it. I walked straight up to the salesman and told him he was going to get the easiest sale of his life. came to find out that they had got the truck through the auction and had misspriced the truck as a loaded regular short cab F150. no regrets!!!:p
