Got a CPU with windows 95 on it and would like to wipe the thing out and redo windows. How do I do it.It has two harddrives on it also. Thanks

The easiest way: Just hook each hard drive up, use fdisk to remove all the partitions, and then recreate them. Then do an unconditional format "Format /U" that ensures that most of the data is being erased. If you're paranoid, there are utilities out there that will completely erase all data on the drive, just in case the previous owner liked child porn, etc. Norton Utilities' SpeedDisk will do this, BCWipe, and a few others, I could send you.

When the drives are wiped and you re-create the partitions, just pop in the Windows install disk and install.

Yes please send me a program to do this for me.Thanks a bunch.
Ive got to cpu hooked up one has 95 and the other has 98 could I put my 98 on the one Im wiping out.Or can you only use one disk per CPU.Thanks again.

:( Just went through my disks, looks like I don't have a copy here. I could get one, but it'll be on Tuesday (from work).

As for your other question. Correct me if I misunderstand. You have two computers, and a single CD of win98. Yes, you can easily install again on a second computer, and use the same serial number. Microsoft doesn't like this though, but that's your choice.

If you need any in-depth answers, email me: bbaskin@cablespeed.com . Part of my job is teaching students how to use fdisk/format to wipe and install a fresh copy of Windows.
