will i reach the 11's.....????

last year i went 12.79 with 8 lbs of powerdyne and no intercooler. this year i will visit the track with 13lbs of vortech and an intercooler. im also having the truck dynotuned later this month by sal of psp. do you guys think i can hit high 11's with this setup? give me some imput. thanks paul d.

It will be close but it will be hard to do with the stock head's and cam

yes i know the heads and cam will be my limiting factor. but it would be awesome to hit the 11's with the long block untouched!

jerry it feels rediculously stronger. pulls much harder than the old setup. and i know the tune is out to lunch. im only making 11 lbs boost now but im gonna step up the boost come dyno time.

sam. the blower , convertor and slicks are the recipe for 12's. 60 ft times are the most importan thing cus these truck dont make any mph. most of my mods are in the signature. along with slicks and a detroit locker. with plenty of timing and 100 oct fuel.

Well, a convertor is a ways off for me, but I know I got to get some drag tires! Last time I was at the track I couldn't hook up for nothing! I think the track was bad that night though.

I think it can be done in good weather. Had 12-13 psi of boost when our 94L went that 12.18@111.56 (ran 111.71 on another pass). Being that you have everything we did plus a 2800 converter and dont you have some headers/x pipe? I know a 11.9999999 with the stock longblock is what I want before a cam,heads,porting,bigger blower. Good Luck!

YES IVE GOT A FULL EXHAUST. AND THE TRUCK HAS CONSISTENT 1.71 SHORT TIMES. I ALSO DONT WAT TO TOUCH THE BLOCK UNTIL I REACH THE 11'S. I THINK IT CAN BE DONE. WE'LL SEE.

Paul you can do it!

I feel if you make a Pass in that Cold Conneticut Air you can run in the 11.9's with that set-up...If you nail a 1.71 60' with 13 # of Intercooled Boost that should do the trick but like Jerry said it is going to be Very Close to a 12.0.... If I was you I would probably Port The Stock Cast Iron GT40's , Run a Better Cam, & even run an EEC Tuner.... That would for sure put you in the High to Mid 11's!!!!!
