I know some one was running some where around 13.50ish or was it less!I would just like to know what kind of combo you were running!
Thanks,Johnny

I've went low 13's with a stroker. It was only my 5th run on the motor, I know it's got 13.10 in it with some timing and weight reduction. Later, Bud:D

Here's what I'm doing.I was runing 8.7 in the 1/8 with worn out eagle gtIIs,No traction mods, and no trans mods except shift kit,and factory headers no cats,93 oct.gas. I had a paxton 6lbs system, worked heads w/1.94/1.60 valves bore hoged opened up on exhaust side, bored 40 over forged pistons, and a custom comp roller cam specs;.513 lift,218 int.,224 exh and 114 lobe sep.
Now I will be runing without the paxton and every thing else the same except I do have MPS headersand BFGs Com ta's.
I was just wondering how bad this cam is going to hurt me if any.How close is it to some ones cam that is running in the 13s nat. asp. Thanks,Johnny

Also i'm running NGK TR-6 plugs set at .35 .I know I need to change the gap.Should I change the plug type also.
Thanks,Johnny

From what the engine has on it, Id say you should go 13s with TRACTION. What did it run with teh blower?? If your just running street tires, always tune for MPH. Your ET is going to suffer bad from spinning.
To anyone running a truck at the track: Generally speaking, If you dont kill the other guy off the line, your not going to outrun him on the other end. Ive gotten a 1.75 60 ft time and thats just not good enough to go 11s (my goal). So I bought what it takes go get to my goal. A set of JDM/Ranchos and, the biggest tire that fits under the fender, a set of Hoosier 29/14.50/15s. It ought to hook now!

Hey Hotrod,I was running 8.7 in the 1/8 with the paxton.
How close is my cam specs to the ones you run low 13s with.
I forgot to say i'm running 9.4:1 comp.
Did you have a big stall conv.,Slicks,or traction mods?
I had terrible traction problems when I had the blower on.Now I get out of the hole fine.
Thanks,Johnny

The way I see it, you have a somewhat "revving" cam.. With 218 intake duration you're going to want to turn 5500-5800 or so on the top end of the track..Run a short tire and it might be alright.. HotRod's cam has 210 intake duration with 214 exhaust, with about the same lift.. Lift really doesn't matter to much, but the intake duration does..
