I have 150K on my truck never had any big engine problems and the truck still feels stronge. I use alot of gas though :m . Can new injectors be part of the solution to using less gas??? Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to to get 20 miles a gallon. But I get 180 miles on the front tank is this normal? I run no cats. what do you guys think? will changing injectors help out??

Thanks Alex

See, why did you have to go say that :( no I just feel even worse. Is there anything I can do to improve just a little on my millage? I don't have lots of mods and I have seen others with a list so long they don't list everything. They still get better millage than me. :m

don't feel bad I did some racing last night and checked my gas mileage today it 7.08 mpg 177miles on both tanks 25gals:eek: running pretty rich but it think my gauge is screwy.

I got your back Alex! hehe, That's about what I get too. I actually made it to 200miles on the front tank before i filled up the other day but it's usually around 180-190 miles per tank. I had put in 14.9 gal with that 200 mi so that gave me something like a little over 13 mpg. This summer, though, I was managing about 230-240 miles per tank but it dropped this winter. I think it's just the gas quality right now. As for Sam, ah, he's a little weird anyways, LOL. j/k :w BTW, Sam are you going to have your L at WFC this year? I met you with Billy last WFC at the Hooters get together. Is Billy bringing his, too? Actually that blower might be helping Sam's gas mileage. SVT450 gets 16mpg with his powerdyne. I just wish I could afford a blower. If nothing else it'd get me better gas mileage ;t .

I am not planning on going to WFC this year. That is a long trip for me. I might try and catch the FFW in Atlanta.

unless the injector pintles are plugged up and screwing up the spray pattern, i doubt changing injectors would help the situation. i would look elswhere for more mileage

180/tank isn't too bad. I get 210 miles/tank if it's all highway miles. Mix in city traffic, and it gets down to almost 160, on each tank.

210 on the front tank if it's all highway miles, but my aerodynamics are messed up with the front end damage im fixing right now. and i mean ALL highway miles.

if theres any kind of city driving in there 180 is about right.

Let me clarify that the 250mi. is all highway miles. I make a 240mi. trip every couple weeks and I get there with the needle burried on E!

Feeling better

Well I feel a little better maybe I just drive a little harder but I used to get about 210 from the front tank before I lowered my truck maybe thats it. I went from a stock tire to a 50 series. Who knows ???? well at least we're all in the same park.

What octane are you running? I know in parts of California you can't get more than 91 out of the pump, that could account for it.

Alex, did you recalibrate your speedo when you went to the shorter tires? Maybe you're getting more miles out of it than you think? .02
