I had a paxton regulator that the previous owner of my truck had gave me(not on the truck). I installed it but couldn't get it not to leak! I just assumed something was wrong with it. I just bought a BBK regulator and dammit all it leaks too! Guess it is me and not the regulators! Any help, ideas, or anything? I will have one up for sale I guess as soon as I get one working. I am SO tierd of messing with this DAMN regulator! It is a pain getting back there!

Sam you have to be carefull with the 2 oring's check them and make sure there is no nick's in them then try putting a little grease on them before you put it in to the fuel rail

Well, that makes since but I tried putting the old one a couple times before and it would leak and the stock one wouldn't! I will try that though. I can't do a damn thing now:mad: , I took the BBK one off and I lost the brown gasket thing-a-ma-bob on the smaller side! I have looked and looked, and haven't found it! So, now I need one of those from somewhere!

I swear that when this is done I ain't touching another damn bolt on that truck!

Sam,
Its not you. Its the regulator/fuel rail regulator mounting base. I had the same problem and here is what I did to fix it. I placed an O-ring in both of the holes in the base that the regualtor mounts to. the O-rings I selected were just tall enough to stick up a little above the fuel rail regulator mounting base. So the regulator kind of crushes the oversized O-ring and seals up just fine. That and make sure the O-rings on the new regulator are in good condition. Well hope my description was clear enough. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

I think so BLOG. Its not that bad anyway and certainly makes the job easier. If anything just loosen it up and move to the pass side a little. It can be pretty aggrivating working in cramped areas and not being able to clearly see what you are doing. One thing you can do to keep from dropping the screws is to put a little piece of electrical tape or some what sticky sustance on the head of the screw and then jam it on the tool you are using. That way dropping the screw is less likely. Really hard to find in the lower intake area.

I bought them at AutoZone. The name brand is "O-Tight". NAPA or some of those smaller parts stores may have them as well.
