I've been away from the board a few days, and just checked back in - What the h**l is going on? What is the root of the problem here? I must have missed something somewhere that I don't know about. Ronda or Greg, or somebody please let me know.
But anyway, I take it that there is something about the meeting dates and times, and about Ronda-and-Greg not owning a Lightning anymore.
If my word means anything around here, this is it:
The next meeting date, time and location will be as agreed to by the majority of members at the last meeting. Anybody can give there input here on the board, especially about coordinating work, family, and such - heck, I can't make all of them due to having to work shiftwork to make the money to pay my bills and keep the L going. That's why we have VPs. That is my edict until a formal decision is made by a majority of the people at the meeting - say, to change it to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Sunday, or whatever day of the month. And that is not to preclude any "special" meetings that will crop up for Hooters cruises, races, etc. These can be arranged on the board or at a meeting, and if you can make it, then you make it. Enough about that.
Another edict:
I don't agree with Sal (original nloc prez) about very much, but I totally agree with what he set up at the beginning of the NLOC (paraphrased here): The club is for Lightning owners and anybody who has a passion for them That's the way it will be here. At least until that is overturned by a new prez or a majority of members at a regular meeting.
Now, nobody will be dissed for missing a meeting, not owning an L, or for having 2 left feet, or even green hair (well, I might reconsider that one).
Things you may be dissed for are:
Drinking the wrong beer
Staring at a waitress's hooters at Hooters (imagine that!)
Going too slow
Cutting a red light or
Losing to me!
(noticed I left out being from Kansas)
If anybody has a problem with any of this, I will be at the March 10 meeting, and you can bring it up then.

I"m just glad it wasn't in elims :tu:.
. The main reason is because we don't have an L. But we will be around, you all know that! Besides, I think Shane and Greg have something in the works for us to be a REAL member of NLOC/MKLO.
