What shocks do you guys prefer.

I think that my L is in need of some new ones. What brands have you guys had experience with? Which ones do you prefer? Thanks for the input!:)

I have Bilsteins. Great shocks for carving corners. Kinda stiff for daily driving, though.

Ive only tried two.The factory Monroe GP and Edlebrock.I thought the Monroes wasnt to bad ,but the Edlebrock was a waste of money.Just my 2 cents:)

I have Bell Tech Nitro shocks all around, but have really been considering going to Rancho RS9000 shocks. They are adjustable, and I'm looking for a smoother ride. I know most of the rough ride is with the stiff rear leaf springs.

Here's the shock:

Any thoughts?

I had the 9000's on my old ranger. Great shocks, I liked them alot. The ride was great, even on 33's and a 4" lift. I bought the optional kit so you could adjust them from within the cab. Worth the money IMO.

ARE THEY A FIRM OR SOFT RIDE OR SOMWHER E IN BETWEEN THE FACTORY SHOCK,THANKS DAVID

If your talking about the 9000's then you can adjust them to firm to soft and anywhere in between(with the in cab thingie) If you don't have it then there is 5 settings 1-5 on the shock you can play with.

I currently have the Rancho 9000 5-way adjustable's on my truck (~ 3K miles on them). I don't think they are all that great. I keep them set on full firm and I think they are too soft.

I just put on KYB's today. I like 'em! I replaced the original shocks so I don't have anything to compare to. But I am satisfied!

I have a set of 4 Tokicos on my 94 Lightning, combined with the eibach lowering shackles and front lowering springs, it handles turns incredibly well, and dampens well also over bumps considering the short wheel base of the L.

:D
