Bad deal is, even if they tried to subrogate the loss, you can't get blood from a turnip and if the bastards are out of cash, he isn't going to get jack. With $1600 loss, an attorney would cost more to get the money than the original loss. One of those crappy deals you just eat and remember who the people were that did it. That does suck, though...
