unbelievable 1/4 mile time

I have a bone stock 2002 red L. I ran it last night at No Problem Raceway, in Louisiana. I made 3 passes. 1st pass : 1.999 60'
13.768 @ 100.54 m.p.h.
2nd pass : 1.989 60'
13.740 @ 100.61 m.p.h.
3rd pass : 1.894 60'
13.366 @ 101.64 m.p.h.
I couldn't believe it! There were three other L owners/ drivers there. I know that one saw the pass. I will try to scan/ post the time slips in the next day or two.
The only thing different between the first two runs and the third - I kept my hood up after the second run, and I ran in the right lane on the third run, instead of the left.

Anyone else ran their's that fast still stock???????

There are a few that have been known to run 13.3s in perfect traction conditions. I see your great 1.89 60ft time. Thats a perfect traction condition you experienced to get that time on F-1s. Congratulations! You have a great running Gen2. Id put a set of traction bars on their before ANYTHING else. If you can run consistent 1.8s in the 60ft, your only a lower pulley away from 12s! Thats really sweet!

For sure Rod, I've yet to hit a 1.8 even with my Drag radials.
Must be a bad driver. Takes a perfect marriage of track conditions and right and left cooridination.

Thanks Don. I put my first mod on last night (boost bypass kit), and to say i'm shocked at the difference is putting it mildly. It may sound kinda dumb to everyone, but I really think I can get a high 12 out of my L with it. When I ran last week, I didn't even have my tailgate down. If I can manage the time, I'm going to N.P.R. as soon as I get out of work this coming Wed.
Hotrod, What kind of Traction bars would you recommend? Would a set of "Lakewoods" be o.k., or is there a higher quality brand out there?

Id get with a few of the great vendors we have here with us. I know of several Gen2s running the JDM traction bars and having incredible results. Shop around and comparison shop. Oh yeah, ask the Gen2 guys what their using. Im sure you'll get a lot of feedback on this issue. Or do a "search" on the traction bars. Good luck and keep us posted on your times.

I might get some diff wheels for the weekends and put nittos on the back but thats up in the air right now.
