uh...I need a bra..

Black Stallion

AAARRRGGHH!!!!
for my truck...

I will be traveling from Marysville, Washington to Jacksonville, Florida this summer for school. I didn't want to drive the L and put 3400 miles on it. It has 66,323 miles on the clock. Shipping ( in closed trailer) will cost $1,990.00.
The paint is immaculate, and I thought about driving down there to save the $$$. However there is the issue of protecting the paint.

How much would a maximum protection bra cost me? and Is this a good idea

:m

I think the key is NOT to leave the bra on for extended periods, as i've heard they can damage the paint worse than rock chips can.

I've got some really nasty chips on my hood right now

Blog is correct. The key is to NOT leave it on for extended periods of time. I put mine on only when I am going to be driving for a fairly long distance. If it rains during the trip while driving it stays on. But at the overnight stop it comes off. The key is to not leave it on the truck and to keep it clean on the back side.

As far as what is out there. Colgan by far, makes the best Bra. However, they do not make one that covers the whole front end including the bumper. The Colgan covers the the front edge of the hood and the grille. Wolf makes one that is listed for 93-94 Lightnings (fits my 95 fine). It has a separate piece that covers the bumper. The Wolf is available from Summit.

One of the guys at my work said to use that M3 tape, and cover every nook and cranny. He says that motorcycles use that stuff to keep the faring free from chips and scratches.
Maybe if I do both.....trouble is that he just got laid off today and I forgot to ask where and how much, and chances are I won't run into him again. I'm guessing at a cycle store......(trailing off)

.....yeeeeaaaahhhh.........

well I don't make the move until April so I have some time to figure this out.

Thanks guys:tu:
