Tunes......

Hey Folks,

Other than your exhaust notes and screeching rubber;) , what music get's ya going? I have been on a Zeppelin kick since last Spring. For X-Mas, I received their 10-CD Complete Studio Recordings Boxed Set.

It is just so awesome listening to their stuff. Powerful & energetic, and the chemistry the band had (especially the synergy of Plant's vocals and Page's strings) was phenomenal. My fave album is Led Zeppelin II, with their fourth Untitled album right behind. The song that really gets me rolling however, is "Nobody's Fault But Mine" from their Presence album. Explosive tune!

93.3 & 94.1 are really the only two stations I like. Classic 60's/70's heavy rock has been my fave for quite a while now. Beginning to get into old Blues as well (Zep's major influence). Classical can be very relaxing also, a style which grew on me as I got older.

I severely dislike Rap, Hip-Hop, current Pop, Disco, and the 80's Pop (which, unfortunately, was my growing-up music).

So, let's hear it. What do you all listen to? What bands/music rock you and your L's?

I pretty much listen to 93.3 and 94.1 too, but I can also pick up 95.1 WZZO in the Lehigh Valley (PA). They're somewhat the same as the other two as far as tunes go.

I like pretty much a little of everything, from Oldies to modern stuff, though like Lou said, you can forget the 80's stuff. If I ever end up just leaving one station on for a period of time, it mostly ends up being country.

There is also another station that the wife listens to. It's 94.5 "The Hawk". Some of the stuff is 70's FM bubble gum style, but they also play stuff you won't hear on the other stations. Don't know where it is from (Jersey, I think). Just was listening to Ted Nugent's Stranglehold....now THAT is some kick tushie music.

For SJ, my presets are: 94.1, 94.7, 95.7, 97.9, 102.9, and 104.3. A good mix of rock/oldies/classic rock/alternative. Mostly a lot of 104.3 classic rock now. No CD player in my truck :)

Right now I have the new offspring CD in my radio. I like 100.7, I win a lot of stuff. 94.1 excuse me but 102.1, ALICE 104.5and 95.7 too I like rock to heavy metal some R&B J low>> for real:p AC>DC crede dokken I ain't no country music fan either blue oyster cult, berlin, yes, fleetwood mac, floyd the old ZEPLIN, stones ,DOORS, deep purple, red hot chillie's little feet BAD COMPANY

WOW Dennis! I'm really impressed an old geaser like yourself listens to new rock like some of that! Offspring & Chili Peppers?! I dig some of the older stuff you metioned too, like Doors & Stones....and Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't fear the reaper".

Personally, I have the most diverse collection of Cd's (and some of the corniest) I've ever seen. I've got everything from Korn, Offspring, & Limp Bizkit to the Backstreet Boys, Tiffany, Michael Jackson, Salt n' Pepa, Shania Twain, Journey, & the "Footloose" soundtrack! Most of this corny stuff I "inherited" when the $%%@%$!#@ &%^#@%!^#!@$!%*!%@!@*@!*^%@ (ex-fiancee) and I broke up.

What I actually listen to is stuff like the Dropkick Murphy's, Suicide Machines, God Lives Underwater, & Sublime.
Cd's I currently have in the L are: Tantric, Default, Green Day, Linkin Park, Nickleback, Lifehouse, & I think "Monster Ballads" (ya gotta have something the ladies will like). Oh, and I have my good friends personal CD too. She is a singer/songwriter & has an album produced, at RCA records right now.

Good Music

Guys I like to also listen to 92.3 , 93.3 , 94.1 , 94.3 , & 97.5 WPST.... When it comes to Racing though , there's nothin like some Good Old ( ZZ TOP ) to get me in the mood or Some ( Metalica ).....I Love Creed , Limp Biscut , & Fuel!!!!!Later Guys,

Ralph Voorhees Jr.

Lou you said it.
Led Zepplen. I have 5 of there CDs.
I listen to mostly classic rock. You can bet Lenard Skinard.

Larry, 80's music. LOL It funny because you are my best bud but i forget sometimes that you are also 5 years older. There is not to much 80s music I like. The only good thing to come out of the 80's is Hip Hop. I love that stuff. It is so darn funny to hear them tell those stories.

I find my self lisening more and more to Country and Pop.

LOL: My borther had to do a Michael Jackson skit for school. So i had to listen to it a lot and I would have to say I begain to like him all over again.

My radio is preset to 100.7, 100.3 94.1 93.3 94.7 102.1 107.3 92.5 and 95.1
