Truck Challenge

Hey, did you folks see this, posted on the G2 site?
Now, I'm not real drag racer, but I may have to sink a couple of bucks in my truck. This sounds like fun:

"As a representative from the 454SS Club (www.454ss.com) we would like to invite your club to join us for the second annual Sport Truck Shootout. Seeing that the Sport Truck Shootout in 2001 was a great success we are putting together a 2002 Sport Truck Shootout. It will be held Aug 3/02 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green Kentucky. We have many members signed up so far and this is developing into a large event. We will have trophies and dash plaques available. As well we will be holding a Show & Shine portion for those entered in the event. The price is $20 for you and your truck if you pre-register at www.sporttruckshootout.com. We would like for your club to join in on the fun, and would like permission to post your club logo and link it to the Shootout page. We have many convoys of trucks getting together to drive from all over the US and you can join up with others for the trip. For more information please visit the official website for the Shootout www.sporttruckshootout.com. We hope to hear from a club representative soon.

Thanks,
Ldytec
454SS NATC Vice Pres"

Let me know if any of you are interested in doing this.

sounds intresting

Those chevys are a joke! Would be a nice ride up to the event. Lets see who else is intrested. I could go for that.

this could be fun. i would hate see grown chevy owners cry, but oh well!!!! gloc, lets get together for the ride and do this. good discussion for feb 16th at d&b dont you think?

I don't know, could get very expensive to drive up. Those 454's suck a ton of gas and will drive gas prices sky high for the trip back if you can even find any petrol by that point.;)

Sounds like fun. I would love to go and compete against
those Chevy guys. Smallblocks against Bigblocks, that
seems fair. For those of you that have never been, Beech
Bend is a cool facility and the drive is not that bad.
