Transmission?

On the way to work this morning on the Interstate I felt a severe rattle/vibration in my seat at 70-75mph (didn't dare go any faster). When I slowed to under 70 it went away. After a few miles I went to pass (normal accel.) and the trans. kicked down and back up, the vibration went away. Have noticed some vibration and rattling from under the cab over the last week or so. Dont think it is exhaust. Have had the magniflow on for sometime. I am concerned it might be trans. problem. Any suggestions.

Check your u-joints! Some people also complain about a thump at higher speeds, which is blamed on the steel driveshaft that you have. You should be checking your u-joints on a regular basis anyway, (we do put a lot of power through them). Hope the info helps.

I will check. Hadn't thought about u-joints. That could be why it is intermitant. Going home last night and on the way to work this morning there was no vibration or thumping. Very strange.
