Transmission Concerns

The problem that I am having is that when I am cruising, the truck is in 4th gear, and I either accelerate or take cruise contol off, it kind of jerks into 3rd gear. Then when it shifts back into 4th it does the same unsmooth shift. It doesnt do this all the time, so I am pretty sure its not the transmission. It also only shifts unsmooth on the down shift from 4th to 3rd(shifting up throught the gears is completely smooth). Some people I have talked to said it is some computer module. If anyone has or had this problem I would appreciate the hep. Thanks

Are you sure its downshifting to third or is it the torque convertor unlocking? How many RPM change?
