Hot off the press! Sat I bought a tranny pan gasket from ford. He sold me the "new" style thats on the new trucks. The holes line up but guess what.....it leaks, around the holes. Our pan holes are dimpled..causing the steel inserts in the NEW gasket to fail. Do Not Try it. A waste of fluid. Got the neoprene one from Napa.....much dryer.

Dam thing still leaks. Now im looking at a B&M trans pan from Summit @$165. Sounds crazy. Does any1 have any suggestions?

Go to the Ford dealer and get a trans pan from a 99 up 4x4 superduty with the drain plug in it and make sure to get the filter to go with the deeper trans pan.

Ya I tryed that new ford gasket too and I wasted about 5 quarts of fluid and about 2 r 3 hours of work. Really pissed me off. So I had to put my old one back on then go and get a new cork one at the parts store.

I have the pan, gasket and filter from a 99 F250 4x4 4R100 on my L. 4R100 is the new abbriviation for E4OD. Holds a little more fluid than stock pan........Shaneman
