Today was a tragic day in Orlando when pro 5.0 mustang driver Steve G. ( I'm not sure of his last name spelling) lost his life in one of the worst accidents I have ever witnessed, he lost control at over 200 mph crossed the center line started to go airborne when he was t-boned by his opponent sending his car thru the air, I watched it disintegrate in front of my eye's and burst into flames, saddly he died of his injuries, I was sick to my stomach after witnessing this horrific accident. The other car rolled and slid 500 ft on it's roof but the car held together and the other driver was not seriously injured, just a reminder of how dangerous racing is and how fragile life is.

Very sad to hear. There was a death at a local track here recently as well. We all know thats a part of racing but never the less is still upsetting to hear. I'll keep both families in my prayers.

First off my families prayers are with the loved ones of Steve. We had also witnessed the tradgedy today and were not sure of his condition when leaving the track. The wind was pretty strong both days and they would not run early on Saturday. The wind had let up a bit today but was still blowing a good bit. As much as everyone wanted to see them run we all wish they would of called them off after the outcome today.

Rest in peace Steve.

Very sad day indeed........i still cant believe it.........thoughts and prayers to to Steves family and friends:(

Being one of many that was there I can say I've never seen a worse accident on the track, his poor wife was right in front of us at the crash scene. My prayers go out to her and the rest of his family and friends.

Just to give you an idea of how bad it was, here's the car after the crash..
