Torque Converter lock up

Raymond, I seem to remember reading here or on Yahoo that there is some good ET to be found in the transmission. I am using the stock torque converter and I am wondering if some of this ET is to be found in altering the lock up points ? If so what is a good starting point ? :m
 
That's a tough one, each vehicle responds differently. What everyone seems to do most is leave it unlocked through 3rd gear then find a good spot (MPH wise) in 3rd to lock it.

But it's a fine line between keeping the motor in it's power band and losing HP to the wheels when unlocked.
