Tire Question?

I am thinking about buying some 22 x 9.5 Foose Spank Rims within the next few weeks, and wondered what kind of tires would be best?? I was thinking about the Dunlop SP 9000s, 285/30/22. Has anyone had this tire in this series? Would it be too thin (not as wide as stock), or would the ride be worse or better beacues it is not the 295 that I am used to? I understand that the ride will not be as good with this size rim, especially since the overall height of the wheel and tire is almost the same as stock, but is this tire going to make it worse?

Also, any other ideas on rims you like? So far I just like the KMC Boffa, and most of all the Foose Spank 5. The wheels must be @ least 22"!

I would go with the first option. Those are beautiful wheels. It will definetly ride rougher but at least you'll look good bouncing around. So what if you have to go to the chiro once and a while.

I would go with the Foose Spank Rims for sure, they were my first choice as well, they were not out yet when I got the KMC's. As far as the tire choice you hit it right on the money, I ran the SP9000's in a 285/30/22 series and they were fine, they hooked pretty good for such a short sidewall (1.883 for a best 60' time) and the ride was fine too. I can't wait to see your truck if you get this set up, it will be very sweet.

I don't have any pics but it is going to be that Foose Spank in a 24"x10"... I don't even have prices yet as the rims are pretty new to the market but i can get you some prices on both the 24's and the 22's...

I actually paid $464.00 a piece thru TireRack for them. If you found them for $400.00 I would grab some now if I were you, that sound like a real good price.
