Timing Suggestions????

I've been tweaking the timing on my 94 gen-1. Mods include roller rockers, Mallory hyper, bassani headers, and K&N filter.

I'm running 93 plus octane.

Anybody got any suggestions??

Should have no problem with 14 degrees maybe a tad more.

Thanks for your suggestion. Maybe im doing somethin wrong when im checking/changing the timing. I hook up the light without disconnecting any sensors,etc. and read the timing marks. Right now im reading 30 degrees (+ or -) with the light.

Should I be disconnecting anything before I check timing?

Yes! You have to unplug the spout conector that is on the drivers side inner fender right near the fire wall. It is right next to the TFI module. That will give you your base timing. Adjust the timing with the spout out. Then put it back in and take the L for a blast to see if it pings.

This is just me, but I got 17* of timing out of my truck in the summer on 93 octane with no pinging.
