I thought the GT-40 heads were iron, not aluminum.

Thanks for posting that - very interesting. Except for the writer keeps blubbering all about how SVT engineered and built the truck. As we now know, that's a lot of horses**t. SVT just latched onto it after Ford's Sport Truck engineers did the whole thing.
