What a blast guys. I just want to thank my fellow gloc members for being true lightning owners. I think all that attended enjoyed the day. I have many pictures and got alot of everyones times to. Thanks to my better half karen. We should have the pictures up soon and a little news letter on people who attend. I'm also going to makeup the gloc truck logos for all that attended. I should have them ready by next meet. Ok guys whats next? Put your heads together and come up with some ideas. I'll work on some from my end. I'll get an email together in the next day or two with everyones times. Also the track owners loved having us out. He would like us to come back, he enjoyed our big trucks running down mustangs heheheheh. I hope we can get another meet up their soon. I would like to have more of a outing with a bigger cook out and hang out time. The owners left the track lights on later for us to hang out. So needless to say we gave am a good show fellows. Thanks again!

Had a good time!

My wife and I really liked the get together, even thugh we were sooo late getting there. I believe that was the most Lightnings that I have ever seen at one place, definitely the most GenIs. Did anyone from GLOC approach this one fellow, can't remember his name, but he had an awesome black GenI, the truck was trailered there in an inclosed trailer, was set up for the drags, a real pretty truck. Anyway there were several nice rigs there, thanks to those that put this together! Good job.

My son and I really enjoyed the day at SDR. Thanks for making it happen. This was our first time on a strip with our '94 Lightning (#4000 out of 4007).

We made 2 runs-
1st- 15.460/88.21 mph
2ns- 15.204/88.78

Mods include Bassani shorties, under drive, roller rockers, Mallory hi-fire and K&N filter.

Dyno'd on 11/23/01- 232.9 RWHP/320.9 RWTQ

Wonder how our times compared with other Gen1's.

that showed up! What a great group of people!

Just got an email from Ed Sweringen, the owner of SDR and he apologized for the lack of organization due to the unexpected huge crowd. There were 202 racin' vehicles there for opening day. They are going to make some changes to the staging lanes to get more cars thru quicker.

Thanks again and Charlie, don't for get the jewelery , or better yet, a new Gen 2! LOL

I talked to the guy in the trailered G1. He's from the south GA. He didn't know about the club, and was not happy with the way the track was. I asked him to join us after his run, but I guess he had a long ride home. I think Karen has his name.

Man, this sounds like a guy I almost bought a blower off of a couple years ago. As a matter fact, I am almost sure its him. I think he may have been a running a Stang at that time though.

I apologize I didn't make it down. But, my 95 has seen better days. Friday nigh I was loosing all kinds of oil pressure. Turns out my ring problem is getting worse ;(

However, I will be building a 393 soon and should be ready for some action a a couple months.

Ken: Dale had called me for info on the GLOC meet at SDR a few weeks ago. I think I remember him saying he either had or has a stang so it may have been him. He lives in Thomasville, Ga.

my son and i had a great time also!!! we were the ones with the 2000 white lightning with stars and stripes flying eagles on the door panels. its my truck but my son likes to drive/of course!!!! we really need to do this more often. i know when commerce opens me and my buddy clay with the 2000 silver lightning can be found most friday nights there. hope to see some/all of you there!!
