I called out of work today (he, he) and after I woke up around 12:30pm (he, he) I went up to a local Boston Market (in Coral Springs on University north of Royal Palm for the locals) to grab some lunch. As I was walking out with my grilled barbecue chicken dinner (mmmmm....) I saw a black 2001/2002 Mustang GT parked in the parking lot. I took a double take when I saw about a four inch piece of PVC pipe duct taped to a magnet and affixed to the roof on the passenger side with a wire running inside the door to a large pile of electronic equipment bolted to the dash. It had a CB antenna as well on the roof. As I hopped in the L, I looked over at it a little harder. It had the red "Bullitt" brake calipers, the American Racing torque-thrust wheels, the tires had pink grease pen writing on them (couldn't make out what the numbers meant), it was lowered 1" or so all around, it had a large screen laptop facing the driver and three or four other electronic boxes bolted to the dash. As I pulled out I looked at the back, just as I thought, Michigan dealer plate, and it also had a small metal tube attached to the underneath of the rear bumper just above and to the left of the right tail pipe and a white sticker on the bumper just above the tube that said something I couldn't quite make out. Oh yeah, I almost forgot it had the Mach-1 shaker hood, the hood itself looked sweet, it was primered dark grey, and the black scoop looked mean-as-hell sticking out of the hole in the hood. As I pulled out of the parking lot, two guys were eyeing me checking it out, obviously the "owners" of the car, I probably should have stopped and cornered them about what it was, but I was just to hungry.
Sound like a Mach-1? Sounds interesting....I would say humidity testing or something, but we are having very mild weather here in South Florida, in the 60s.
