Thermostat question????

I have an '01 L and will soon get a 4# pulley and chip. I have a K&N fileter in the stock box, and TR-5 plugs.

Questions:
At what point should i put in a different thermostat?
Which one should i use?

Side note: I live in Arizona where it's HOT most of the time, which may factor in which degree thermostat i should use.

hey were in tempe do you live?? my friend lives off of Ray Rd. i live in phoenix. we go to the track alot so if you want to hook up and go it would be awsome.

O and to answer your question i would stick with the 170* Thermo. your chip will be programed for the pulley.

hypertech 160

i think the hypertech 160 deg stat is the one used by those who do change them. i just ordered mine through my local parts store for $23. part number is 1011.

Rippin, i live near Elliot and the 101 so i'm sure i'm not far from your friend! If you live in Phoenix, looks like it's time to change your sig!
I'd love to go to the track. For now i'll only have the drop in K&N so it would be nice to see the times being stock (close enough).:w

well i still live in Co im just going to school down here. i live on 7th Ave and camalback. i dont have my truck down here as he would tell you im a sissy and never drive it. dont worry if you ever meet him he will gladly point this out. we are always looking for new L to go to the track with. so ill send you and email when we plan to go next.
