For those that noticed my thread is gone..
The R/T twin (ryan) erased it someway.. so i've changed my password so he can't get on here.. and so now i'm tell you all so you can see his true side.. devin is right here. and we've decided that ryan thinks he's some kinda superman when he's behind the keyboard..
but anyways guys.. Ryan can't take it when someone else gets some glory for thier ride..
he's somekinda car wussy or something

It seems that this happens every couple of months: Ryan boasts about his "victories", and can't back them up.

Welp, I admitted I f**ked up on here several times. Not sure what Casey's problem is. I think he just takes **** waaaaay too seriously. He's amd because I said he doesn't pay for the majority of my gas???

dunno, but as for Devin driving and me racing him, that games been played. I'm not being cocky, but fact is fact, and everytime the game was played, the L was on the losing end. True, with the new fans it runs hella strong, but it still seems to run outta steam well before the century mark. I'm sure a little more work will fix that.

I won't say anymore. I'm not a hothead who hears one side of a story and posts theur dirty laundry for the world to see. I just don't get upset about trivial **** like that. Hopefully he'll calm down, cool off and try to talk me in a civilized manner. When I tried to talk to him at his house he took the 12 year old, "I ain't talkin to you" stance. He may not be responding to this post for awhile because he has been using MY $1600 laptop free of charge to browse/use the net. He demanded a couple of DVDs of his I had borrowed back and my mom went berzerk, so she'll probably take my laptop away from him, even though I don't really mind him having it. He'll cool off at some point......
 
I dunno what to say here. IMHO, you and Ryan should talk it out instead of airing it on here (in person), but that's me. I just wasn to say, Devin,my brother has had nothing but good things to say about your truck, he actually likes it he knows his trucks beatable, been there (not by Dev though, yet anyways ;)) Well, I'm gone, hope you think things out andrealize the reasons your fighting are really silly and very superficial. A friendship is more important than any message board, any argument, or who pays for gas. Just my thoughts.

If you'll notice, I didn't even start this thread, I don't really care if my truck can hang with a dakota RT or not.

I've raced the little purple truck several times. I've got a few mods, but I can't outrun it.

I don't post my kill stories or race stories or i would have told you guys about it.

'cuz I'm pretty sure nobody gives a rats *** what my truck will do or what his RT will do.

It is now a Mission. I, for one, would love to hear that you beat him in a race.

How much help have you received on your posts? People are willing to help you. You should care if your truck can hang, and these guys are giving you all sorts of advice on how to make your truck faster.

Personally, I don't race. I am a fan of all the guys on this board that like to tinker and mod their trucks. I did say "trucks". I am a fan of the Automobile...period. I do have a bias towards Ford, but I applaud surfa and Danno for their accomplishments, or a Honda getting into the low 13's.etc.,etc.

Its the Person, not the People.

First of all, I just wanna say yeah I was sittin there when Casey (3000GT) typed this, but I never said a word about Ryan. I don't have a damn thing to do with this whole thing. Also,

During the post about Casey racing my truck vs. the R/T , I kept quiet the entire time until Ryan jumped in and said I had aftermarket heads.... bull****. I'll get to that in a minute.

So although Casey says "we've" decided, personally I don't have a problem with either one of them and I didn't have jack to do with this whole STUPIDASS spat. This makes me look bad for having my freakin name in the thread, and I sure as hell don't wanna be identyfied with the resulting backlashes and negatives associated with any of this crap, because I'm just starting to make some friends on here and I'll be damned if I'm gonna ruin that.

If anyone will care to remember, this is the exact same stuff I said the LAST time all this crap got stirred up, only Casey (3000GT) was on the other end of the rope. I don't give a **** what happens between these two, I like them both, I just want my name OUT OF IT. That goes for both of these guys. The internet is no place to take this stuff out at and like I said, I don't want my friggin name ruined all across the net over something stupid, and especially on NLOC.

As far as the racing side of this thread goes, I don't care a bit to sit and talk all day long about that. I just don't want any of you dudes thinking I've got jack to do with this namecalling and bickering side of the thread. As far as the technical info and racing and general constructive talk, I'm good to go on that.


DJ inquired on the bolt ons. DJ thats a tough *** question to answer. I know you have an AWESOME Gen 2, so you might or might not know that us Gen 1 boys have "GT40" heads on our trucks. Well..... for SOME reason mine doesn't. That means the GT's have been popped I guess and some *** put regular 302/351 heads on there. Now that might mean they're P&P'd, or it might mean the guy sold 'em for a good deal. I personally don't know but I am trying to figure out what's the deal there.


Now that that's outta the way, all I've got on my truck is a hyptertech power module (previous owner installed), a complete 2.5" dual exhaust setup, K&N open FIPK or whatever it's called, timing bumped to 14*, flexlite fans, and a 180* thermostat. As soon as Mark from LFP calls, I'll have a level ten kit on order. I'm making progress, I've only had the truck since mid September, and after the shift kit, the pullies are next.

I wasn't referring to you or any of the other posters on this board in my lecture or whatever above (just to let you guys know.) yes I really do care about what my truck does, it's just when I wrote that I was kinda depressed and angry it had to come to this and that I was even mentioned in it. These two are mad at each other, it's just that I happen to live in the same damn town and I hang out with each of them every once in a while. Anyway, this board has been a godsend to me as far as making internet friendships go, and advice on the truck.. Everyday I learn something new from you guys, and this has been the only online community so far to actually respond and have conversations with me, so yes I DO care and am trying to better my truck all the time and maybe best the little purple truck in the process.

I've raced the RT form a stop once, and Ryan of course taped it, so not even HE can argue that my truck held his DEAD even the entire time up until almost third gear or maybe into third. It was a fender ahead, but only because they punched it first. (the three horn beeping deal) The race was never finished because they pulled off the road when we hit thrid. Im not trying to incinuate (sp) anything, I'm just sayin they went home or something.So I am definetly not very far off at all besting it.

I think I covered everything. Please excuse the rude language, and I'm sure I probably said something or maybe two somethings twice or more. I don't believe in sugar coating what I'm thinking, and I basically just go to typing it out. So if I did, forgive me. Thanks to all the NLOC guys again, I can assure none of my heated language was directed to any of you guys.

Now to go forget all this crap and take a tylenol.

Dang, Devin, you're a better man than I am. If I had ran dead-even with the loudest and most despised mouth in the R/T world with a mildly warmed-over truck, I'd have posted it on every message board I could find, including "fine dining for singles" (if there is such a place). After all, he is beating Ferraris and Aston Martins in his high 14 second truck. ;)
 
Devin, I'm really interested now in knowing what heads you do have on that L. Pretty funny that the purp R/T could only pull a fender on a L that doesn't even have a full L motor (reg 302 heads vs the GT40s which will be much better heads). Just think if you had the full GEN 1 motor with the good heads. Those reg heads are not going to breathe as well as the GT40s. They are just too small. Even a P&P wouldn't be as good with those smaller heads. Time to start saving up. BTW, there are some GT40s for sale in the Parts forum.

Well then, my question now is, if Devin's truck is running WORST than stock (as stated above by someone), what is wrong with James' (his name I believe) modded L that Devin keeps DEAD even with? This truck runs 8.9 in the 1/8th (equiv. of 13.9 in the 1/4) and Devin's truck stays dead even with it......

Devin, maybe you should tell him to have it checked out since the guys here say you're running worst than stock????

Thanks for the info and compliment, I was basically just curious more then anything. I happen to know quit a bit about the GEN1's, a couple of my good buddy's have them.
 
mid 13 second R/T??

So let me get this right, James and Devin run a 13.9 and you are faster than they are? So what does the purple pussy run, a 13.6? Please go to the track and run some more 15s for us, be sure to post the video so we still won't be able tell what the **** happened. What exactly makes a car or truck "modded"? Everything you talk about is modded, modded Cobra, modded LT1, modded GT, modded Lightning and you always beat them through some miracle of the Lord God Almighty. Does a Dynomax muffler, pullies, and a falling off K&N make a vehicle "modded" in R/T world? How about that K&N fuel injection kit, hell yeah.
