Tax Returns! My favorite time of year. Show me the money!!
I have decided (after much use of the search feature) that Im putting Ranchos on the Lightning. I think for being a daily driver/weekend racer, they will be more user friendly. I mean quiet and not interfering with the ride with added harshness. From what Ive gathered from our resident engineers (Thanks Jeff ) and owners with the Ranchos, they hook hard and ride good. What else can I ask for?? Im also going to buy another set of racing rubbers. Im going to try the 29x13.50/15 ET Streets and the 29x4.50/15 Front Runner. These are bias-ply where Im running radials, now. This will be ANOTHER 50# of weight savings over the already 75# saved with the Centerlines and skinny front wheels and tires. Light is good. Im stilll determined to run 12.9s on the motor. Whatever it takes. Im doing this for you guys. No really..

My Federal tax return goes directly to pay my first 1/2 of my property taxes. What is wrong with this picture?

Hey Raymond. The Lightning is running good, Ive heard no detonation. I did hear this though. When Im cruising at hiway speeds and have to lift off the gas till about 35mph, it lean "pops" when I tip back into the throttle. It wont do it more than once an occurance. Its hard to MAKE it do this. When I start rolling back into the gas, it kind-of hessitates, pops, then runs fine. Any ideas?? Have you heard of this before? Maybe it needs more fuel curve at lower rpms? Could the bigger heads (more airflow) cause the lean condition thats not at WOT?
I havent gotten to the track yet, Im hoping to go this week. Ill give you some numbers after I go.

SO stupid that we have to pay on things we already own!!!!! Car tax,property tax etc...Both Partys are guilty of this crap!Its just another way to TAKE OUR DAMN money away!!!!!

I hear ya!!! Tax return??? Shoulda never been taking it in the first place! Does Kentucky have the stupid car tax like Virginia? It's like paying sales tax on your vehicle every year. The Republican governor did start phasing that out, but the liberal that the idiots here just put in office I'm sure will want to restore it. Liberals.

Sorry for the rant. I just hope I get a return. It'll be pretty close. Nothing will go into the truck, though.

That sucks guys! I look forward to tax returns every year. Last year I got my heads and wheels/tires. And kept enough for my cam later.

Hey Hot Rod i am wondering where you are going to be getting your traction bars? Lightning Force has them for $270 shipped to my dorr but i have been waiting for him to get the hard ware for about one month now. I hope that he getts them soon so that i can get my traction bars.
