Talk about "Built Ford Tough!"

My cousin recently moved by home to Cincinnati from Bullhead AZ. He drove his 79, 250 Ranger towing a car trailer and made it home without any problems. The kicker is that the truck has 360,000 miles on it. I no longer fear high miles on my truck now. The best part is that the truck has zero rust. :D

Nick,

That's a haul, especially with a car trailer. A trip to Zeibart would probably be a good idea, although he might want to wait until next Fall.

My '90 F-150 just rolled over 188,000 miles, and it's still going strong.:tu:

What engine/trans does he have?

the old rangers were some kinda trim/interior package upgrade, i think- like the xl and the xlt today. my '68 250 was a "ranger".

Hey,those old Fords die hard.My 87 T-Bird daily driver has 184,500 miles on it and still doesn't use any oil or make odd noises. That is except for the bad exhaust that I need to replace.

Full size? Hell yea, it's fullsize!

They didn't make "toy" trucks then, all of them were full size (the courier don't count). Like stated before, ranger was a trim option.

I would like to have a '68-'69 ranger 150, I had the chance to buy one several years ago 428CJ / c-6, nice interior, magnum wheels, all the truck needed was new brakes (already had disks on front), and a paint job. The guy wanted $2,500.00, I missed out.

Hey cool! My 3.8 87 Thunderchicken has 189,000 and it has never had a valve cover pulled on it! :) The best part is that it still gets about 35 mpg on the highway... I will admit that it is soon to be replaced with a new Mach 1 this summer :tu:
