I had one of my SAE instructor friends test some of the more popular plugs in a lab with a Ford coilpack, under a simulated combustion chamber pressure, at various simulated RPM fire rates. Take a look at the Denso Iridium's, f()ck!ing amazing.

Wow, that is amazing... Well I guess the $12.00 a Plug is worth it... I think for the money the NGK is a better buy though... Those are some great numbers though...

Well from that chart I might have got 1 more tenth if I would have 8 instead of 7 densos Sunday at Hallsville:D :D Oh well I will get that stock thing out of there.;)

I got the Tr-5's, I hope they're similar to the Tr-6's.

Be careful, the TR5s are one heat range hotter. You may experience pre-ignition. I'd be VERY VERY careful with those things.

The Denso site said to gap the IT16 at 0.050.

Why are some of you suggesting to gap it at 0.040

A 'smaller, narrower gap is prudent if you have added boost. The larger gap may allow the 'fire' to be 'blown' out;)
