Ok im gonna DO IT! Im ordering slicks for the next drag meet. But i have no idea which ones to get, everyone list your slicks sizes and what size rims you have them on and website where you got them from ;)

Im just confused what to get

I just ordered a set of
28x13.50-15 Hoosier Quick Time Pro DOT's and a set od Bogart 15' alluminum wheels.

Now I just have to wait for the tracks to open.

Hey i'm thinking of Putting some 15" E.T. Streets on and some wheels.. what do i have to know to order them.. what is our bolt patten etc???? and how wide can we go...

New Blue 2002
no mods no times yettttttttttttttt.

I believe that 15 inch wheels will not clear the brakes. If I'm wrong I would like to know because I am very interested in getting slicks/ET streets for my truck. 15s would allow for more sidewall which is critical in hooking.

I'm not trying to misinform you. I have always heard that sidewall plays a part in planting a drag tire due to absorbing shock. True, the faster the car the more important this becomes. I posted on this tread to get info, not to get some jerk off telling me that i'm preaching useless info and tring to make me feel like an ass in front of others.

I'm not looking for arguements either, but the way you came off was a little harsh. I subscribe to mm&ffs as well and will check that article out. It is this magazine that turned me on to JDM and is the reason my truck runs the way it does w/ so few mods. Shows that I must be doing some reading. I am use to having high horsepower cars. Both were equiped w/ sticks up untill i changed to a glide in my stang with my current set up, so I guess your input to high launches and high stall would apply to me.

Hey Sam, long time no see, missed you at the last get together at California Speedway. Anyways, with the mods you're running unless you feel like shaving your caliper down, I think either what uncle nick or Lightninrod listed would be perfect for your application.

I run the same wheel/tire combo as LightninRod, and just went into the 12's today.

How much interference is there with a 15" wheel? I've never heard any specifics about steel vs. aluminum on this topic and am wondering if a steel wheel might clear where an aluminum wouldn't. Most aluminum wheels seem to be about 1/2" smaller on the inside than a steel wheel of the same diameter. Doesn't one of the aftermarket companies offer a specially built 15" wheel to fit the L? I would love to get some slicks, but I want more than 2 choices when it comes to tire size.

I am running Brad's 28x12.5x16 ET Streets, they hook up great, Im going to see what kinda 60' I can REALLY get outta them this week.
