Im not to sure about buying a Lightning. My freind has a 1993 with some mods which is an awsome truck. Now i have a chance to buy 1 but i cant convince myself to buy it. I have a 1993 Red Lightning with 26k miles on it for $15grand ( I would offer less). Show Room condition. You guys on here would know best. Can you please help me.......Thanks Ryan

I don't think its possible to be disappointed with these trucks, unless you get a real lemon. I get compliments on mine all the time. It's way cooler than your average mustang or camaro, and obviously cooler than any other truck out there. Well, except maybe a newer lightning.

Driving a Lightning is definatly drifferent than driving any other vehicle. The G 1's are pretty rare compared to other vehicles you see every day so, it does give you a good feeling when people ask you about your truck or compliment you. I think you should consider buying one.

buy one! i've always had ford trucks, but never anything like this. it's not just fast but it handles like a formula 1. ok slight exaggeration but it does handle great. it's also pretty cool when you see another on the road and you give each other that knowing smile.

Ryan! You've been for a ride in mine. So buy the D@mn truck man. I told everybody to help support you in purchasing this truck. Go look at it and if you dont like it I can sertainly find one for you around here. So if you dont want to spend the money I'll find one in your price range. I had one picked out for 8grand but needed a new paint job had a cap and only had 44k. Oh yea it has the original tires!!!

Ok.....first off, your on a lightning forum. All of us love our trucks and we will definetly say to buy one!!! Second, from my own experience... I've always loved the look of the gen1 lightnings but have never owned one until about 6months ago. I've always been a die-hard 5liter mustang guy. I'm only 25 years old and I've owned close to 25 5liter mustangs(seriously)and I can say I'm having so much fun with this truck that I honestly don't think I'll go back to them! Granted that its no where near the same as the fun and trouble you can get into with a built 5.0/5spd mustang. These trucks are truly unique in there own right. My wife has a 95 mustang gt right now and shes saying she wants to sell it and maybe get another gen1 lightning. She loves driving my truck too!!!

Racer I know how it is. My dad bought the 93 for my mom and I to share. Then she was driving it to much and in bad weather. Well we werent going to stand for this. My dad bought her a 95 white. So my baby sits in the garage until I drive. Everyonce and a while we take her out for a spin. Rarely though. I couldnt live long without my truck. How Bout You?

It was red and I cant find it anywhere. Ive looked at all the papers. It was in Tinley Park. Nice though. I think its gone.
I think you will be very happy if you buy your self an L..I was still a little unsure about mine when I got it but that changed very soon after I got it.In fact I feel better about it ever day I drive her.Now all I think is how much I would be missing if I didn't buy it!Go ahead and give it a chance and see what every body is talking about
