Shorty headers

The last shorty headers post never answered this question as it strayed off topic a little bit. Sooooo, will 5.0 shorty (equal or unequal) headers work or not? Are they too short? Anyone tried/measured it?

No they won't unless you change your H-pipe to something that will meet the collectors. Look at pics of a Lightning(or anyother 5.0 or 5.8 truck header) and a Mustang header and the collector is in a different location.
