Short Accessory Drive Belt - No Smog

I'm having trouble keeping my belt from jumping off from time to time! I remember reading somewhere on the old site that someone replaced their stk. idler pulley with one from a stang. I think it was larger & had a lip on each edge of the pulley that helped prevent the belt from coming off!

Need someone w/ info on this, to chime in !

I think you have already answered your own question. My understanding is to get one off of a Mustang as it has a lip.:tu:

no smog

I just used a shorter belt to by-pass the smog pump..it works great..it's a bear puting the belt on..cause its tight..put works great....i'l try and find the part # or size..cant recall what it was.

its so close to the alt that unless the belt is too big or stretched bad it shouldnt pop off...!:tu:
