She's gone!!!!!

Well, I finally did it. My faithful and trustworthy companion since July of 1993 has left me. A college kid that builds Mustangs bought my '93 L. He says that he will take good care of her and keep her stone stock. He seems to be a nice enough kid. It seems O.K. that she's gone because I still have the '02 True Blue, a '99 TL100R, and a '97 528i. Oh yeah, the kid paid me $7000 too!!!!!! :D :D :D I really don't feel bad at all now. Just thought I would share.

Wow, was this the one you were originally going to sell for $4500, or am I thinking of someone else?
$7000!!! That's one heck of a deal, you made some money there :)

No, I originally advertised it for $8000 obo. It sounds high for a '93 especially with 211,000 miles onit, but it was is excellent, stock condition. I'm happy with the deal.:D

Hey its a collectable, if you want it bad enough your gonna have to pay.

Also we got a saying in the car dealer busness " There's a *** for every seat and a seat for every ***"

Hey man 211,000 ... whuuuuuu where did you drive that truck.. thats about twice as many as my 93 has .. good to know i still have 100,000 left... Hey i also have a True blue 2002

Back in '93 I was living in Atlanta driving a '70 Chevy Impala. I had purchased a '92 GSX-R750 the year before and decided to take some race track schools. I was working as a mechanic for Delta at the time and got a job as a tech inspector for WERA (Westen-Eastern Roadracers Association). One thing led to another and I was racing every weekend. I bought the L in July and used it to tow the race bikes to tracks all around the Southeast. It was an awesome tow vehicle. One time, I went to Rockingham ( back when they used to let us race motorcycles on the Nascar track) tow my trailer with three race bikes on it with the bed full of tools, gas, spares, and all the personal stuff for me and my buddy. A kid in a Mustang tried to outrun us and stayed right on his but right up to about 110 mph for 2-3 miles. No problem. It didn't hurt that the trailer was made from the front end suspension components of a '61 Corvair! Anyway, almost all highway miles except for all the laps around several race tracks retrieving crashed bikes. Can't wait to get this one (my new Blue '02) on a track or two. :D :D :D
