Hey All, I'm now the sole owner of my 93 Ford Lightning :D Made the final payment yesterday, no more bank notes. She's all mine. What am I going to do with all the extra money. Stacie says I should call DSS Racing  Ok, ok, I said that. I need a project for 2002 since I'll mostly be off the track.

Just to let all you guys know, I dug deeper into my truck this weekend and found that the infamous tapping is somewhere in the motor. Most likely a cracked ring or piston skirt. It is definitley not in the valvetrain.

Dunno if ya already have one, but I would suggest putting the extra cash towards buyin' a beater car so you can take your time repairing (AND Improving!) your L.

That pretty much sucks about your motor. Sorry 'bout that.:( Guess it'll give you an excuse to put it back together the right way!

Hey Larry, Justin says that even tho your truck has a tap that you still believe to be from your motor. I hear tell that you truck still runs strong. You are still guessing about the noise:confused: I say run it till something lets loose:eek: A WOT 1/4 mile pass or 2 might do the trick:p Your next option is to tear it down all the way to be sure:o

Larry,
Congrats buddy. Know you can pay that tool box off with no worries. I am sure you will find something to do with the extra cash.

P.S. When are you going to let me drive the beater ( A 95 Cobra R )

I don't think the problem will be finding things to spend money on. There are plenty of things, its deciding on which things to buy which will be difficult. Like Mike said I do intend to buy a beater car, either that or a cheap classic that can be slowly restored and driven everyday. Anyone know of some early-mid 60's Fairlanes or Stangs for sale in driveable condition?
