I am trying to come up with information about our seat covers. Ford dosen't have any more drivers side seats, but at $1200 each it probably dosen't matter. Has anyone had a seatcover off the seat and is there any possibility of exchanging the passenger cover with the drivers cover. I know the controls etc. are opposite, but the covers themselves look identical. If this were possible I would consider rotating them to double the life. The outside bolster seems to take the most abuse and my passenger seat inside bolster is rarely used. My wife of 29 years dosen't need to sit that close anymore.

Short answer is "not really." The cover is glued to the foam. You'd have to destroy the seat to remove the cover.

Try some upholstery shops that do car seats. I had mine redone in leather. They took the covers off and made the leather pattern from the origanal cloth. They also tuned up the seat springs, they are way easier to clean and the red & black looks nice. It cost me $1,500.00.

Doh, unfortunately this original post was 2+ years old... and for some reason the poster was deleted from board... guess we'll never know :)
