Screw strap style clamps on blower discharge tubes stink royaly

LightningWX

Lightning tuning flunky
I blew off half of the tube cause the clamp bent and losened some, so I got a new clamp. I now have a boost gauge and found out why my truck doesn't pull like it did before, I'm only seeing 5psi on a 10psi pully. I got out and tightened the clamps as much as I could before they would break. I now see 8psi were I know I sould see 10 or more pounds of boost. Summit T-bar clamps here I come. I never knew I was loseing boost thru the rubber connections. Just some info for you blower guys, since this never dawned on me till now.

Good excuse to have a boost/vacuum and fuel pressure guage if you ask me.
Vacuum guage really is a valuable tool in keeping track on your tune. A trained eye can read a vacuum guage and determine if his engine has a vacuum leak, burnt valve, fouled plug ect. Fuel pressure guage is good insurance so you don't go lean under boost and tune up and you know why you need a boost guage.
