rumor about dodge truck

One of my techs told me he saw a show that was showing a new dodge ram that is getting the viper motor with a few more cubes. They said it was more than a match for the second gens. Has anyone heard of these?

yes, unfortuneately, you're correct. its got a viper engine and a 6 speed stick. now, as i see it, with the six speed, who the hell is gonna speed shift a 2 foot long stick?!?! if they put an auto in it, the gen 2 will be toast. but i dont think that thwe power hungry bastards over at dodge would do that since i'm sure they think that a 6 speed supertruck will appeal to the public. anyhow, the truck as the viper engine in it and is said to do 0-60 in 5. i'm sure LOTS more people will chime in tho. POS as far as i'm concerned. mike

Well, from the other threads that I've read about this, some people think that dodge will produce a tuned down model of the truck that their showing and I agree. I also think its going to be a way over priced p.o.s, dodge still sucks and they are'nt very dependable in my opinion. I guess all the car companies have their faults but, I've known to many people that have alot of problems with dodges.

After seeing the factory paint job horrors my friends dad went through on his new Dakota last summer, I"m steering clear of any new Dodges. Not that I'd think of buying one over a Ford. :Y
