I have been doing research on moding Lightnings and have found out that when running xtream amounts of boost the rods are known to break. So I was wondering a few things about what people did with the motor apart. First what kind of rods are you guys using? I know that many people use Manly Rods but are there any others that you have used? I looked at Carrillo rods which are I believe the best rod made but they are expensive, and I dont think that I need these rods it would kinda be overkill. They priced me at 2500 for 8 rods but you also get what you pay for. Any way when you had the motor apart did you put better pistons in it? If so what kind. I was thinking of porting the heads when I had the motor apart as well. Have any of you guys done that along with the rods and stuff. Thanks Hunter
