Rocker-arm lateral movement...

I pulled the passenger-side valve cover and found loose rocker arms on about 7 valves . One was so bad I could literally rotate it about 1/2" side-to-side, with the valve closed of course; there's my "lifter" knock.

Hopefully the lifters are ok

At work one day I saw that on a 4-cyl. Taurus. The rocker arm was so loose the push rod had come out of the rocker arm. I put loctite on the bolt and torqued it to spec. It hasen't come back yet (knock on wood)
