Ranger with Gen 2 Engine

Have many of you guys seen the Ranger Ford built with the Gen 2 engine in it? It's pretty sweet:) It's got Gen 2 rims also, it's just a toy for them though, I don't think they plan on producing it.

I had a link to the concept SVT Ranger, but it wasn't an L engine. I believe it was a 4.6L. It was supercharged tho and had 365 hp and a Tremec manual. Cant find the link or it's dead, because it was at the SVT experience and the new SVT site doesn't have the same links now.

WHY???

As we walked around the SVT trailer at FFW today, I asked the same question to StruckBy.. Why do they show these vehicles like the '98 5.0 Ranger or this new 4.6 blown Ranger?? They will NEVER build one and Ford just taunts us performance freaks with these little monsters, for what reason?? No one would invest the money to install the same "factory looking" parts they used. It'd be a fortune! The FR500 might be a test bed for future projects, but we'll never see a rip snortin' V-8 Ranger. :m

We know maybe 1 out of 10 of their concept/test vehicles will see the showroom, but it keeps us looking at Ford. If they can keep our attention in some way, then maybe they'll catch a sale here and there. Worked on me in 93 with the limited edition canary yellow vert with white top 5.0 that I couldn't afford at the time, so I bought a 5.0 LX. I've been in a Ford ever since! :tu:

Yup it is. But that's not the same truck SVT was showing around the SVT experience. The old one was a 99.

This one looks even better, but maybe it's just the color.:D

420hp in a Ranger? Maybe I should give them mine and let them experiment on it.:Y
