I was just wondering, for those of you running the JLP raim air, what stops water from geting on the filter? question might sound stupid, but I would like to know before i buy one. I Know AEM, the import company makes a thing-a-mmagiggi that sperates the water from the air on thier cold air intakes.

yea I know its ram not raim, none of you guys can help me out here, none of you guys have JLP ram air, or home made ram air setups that can reply:m :m :m

Well, first of all it's not a "true" ram air system. More like a cold air package. Most air is taken from around the cone filter. The "rammed" air simply goes into the end of what is basically an open filter. The distance of travel for water is apparently too much to worry about. I've traveled in the rain at over 70mph and not sucked in any water. Make sure you get the Outerwear's pre-filter also. Helps when you take it apart to clean it. Keeps the sticks, stones, spiders, small animals, etc. out of the cone.:D

Yeah, kinna hard to ram air thats being sucked in and pushed at the rpm that these blowers turn. Still a good supply of air is important, but to answer your question you don't have to worry about the rain.:)
