pressure pressure pressure????????

Thanks for the info but I still need the stock specs for fuel pressure, or better yet what are the best settings for fuel pressure. I am at about 3200 elevation, so maybe I should run it a little leaner. Also the truck is WWAAYYYY off et wise. I know altitude has a big effect but she is now running in the 15.80-16.00
At sea level she went a best of 14.77-6 at 93 now best mph is like 85-86. I figure the adjustable reg will help cause it is running VERY rich. Just have a few bolt on's see sig. Thanks for the help
Tony

Yup, elevation will do that. I was stationed in AZ. (Sorry Vista) and everytime I went back home to Ga. the car felt like it had a 50 shot of NOS added to it. The car ran best there with about 30 to 31 psi with no vac to the reg. It is not uncommon to loose that much between sealevel to 3000ft. It aways took about a month for the car to run right after I would come back to AZ.

BTW, hows the new dragstrip in Tucson (new to me anyways)

Well, The facility itself is VERY nice. The staff on the other hand
SUCKS A$$. They do not have a CLUE on track prep, or how to run an event. You know somthing is wrong when 100 cars show up and you only get 2 or 3 runs in. I am used to running at Island, ATCO, and E-town. 400 cars 8-9 runs. The problem lies in the fact that this is a GOVERNMENT run track:mad: They have people who are clueless about running a drag racing . We have wild rice all over town. I think the street racing has gotten worse since the track opened. Who wants to pay 20 bucks for 2-3 runs
when you can get 20 for free. I wont even get into how unbelievably stupid the tech dept is. You'd think they were getting paid to fail street cars. But if your a bracket racer you get no tech:mad:  . That is why the PSCA or NMRA refuses to run here. This is a world class track run by fools who use this place to hide money.

Still beats getting pulled over on Kolb or Speedway. Those were the good old days. ;t I guess with all the housing going up there aren't that many deserted four lanes anymore.

Firebird raceway park is nice but a pretty good haul to get there.

Is Coach's Deli still around. I miss that place along with three abreast street racing down Speedway.:tu:

Actually the big boys ran off houghton by rita ranch. Back in the mid 90's.When I ran SUPER SHOPS it was not uncommon to have 20-30 9-11sec cars out there. Kolb was okay but it was too loose with gravel. I could never hook. But we used to vht old vail(now rita ranch) And it was real real good. The biggest problem is no one has any cash to bet?? Not even 100.00. You may or maynot have been here that time. But coaches is still up and running every fri and sat night. Mostly older crowd. Then a few REAL cars show up every now and then, but nothing like when the SHOPS was there. 50-60 nice cars would show up then around 1.-2 it was out to run. Sometimes till 6 am. Now the street scene is mostly rice. Running up and down Speedway.
No too long till the driveby's start. Most of the faster cars are gone. (broken at track or sold due to disappointment at track politics) I used to have a Silver/blacktop 69 ss Nova. Roller BBC
it had a white glass hood. It had Jersey plates "sub 11" And it was. Actually 10.30's on spray w/ et streets. The car is still in town. I sold it to a very close friend, and I run it down the track every so often. I considered buying it back, but I want to do a intercooled s-trim for the "L". Tony:tu:

Oh Super Shops. Had them mount some tires in 94 or 95. The kid in back told me about how they didn't use impacts and only used torque wrenches. Thought, "that's cool", until a week later I was rebuilding my traction lock at DM and found that they had broken my locking lug nuts and replaced each one with the wrong size lug. Needless to say they were a different size for my lug wrench so I would have really been pissed if I had a flat on the side of the rode. Instead I got to replace 4 snapped lugs. Good thing I had the axles out.

Anyways, I'm over that now, REALLY! :D

I do remember a red 68 or something Nova that we used to beat on with the stangs. He never could get enough. It looked good though.

I believe he was a army guy or somthing. He has a 300 hp crate engine in it. I sold him all kinds of stuff. He was not too fast. 14.00 at best. I forgot his name but there was a guy with a 78-9 vet with a 400sb and a blowthru ati procharger. He went back to Maine a while back, he always hung around with a guy who drove an early model 240-260Z. Do you remember the BIG BAD 64 Biscayne. (tan, tubbed, lots o juice) It is still in town kickin butt. Well have a good one. If you ever decide to come back to
Tucson E-mail me and we'll go to coaches and kick some rice butt.
Maybe I'll get the Nova for the night:D Tony
