Port & polish GT-40's??

Has anyone had good results doing a good port and valve job with the stock gt-40's? Or is it just better to buy a set of trick flow's? Will they flow better out of the box than a set of worked gt-40? Also with there be a valve clearance problem with the trick flow's? What would be a good cam to compliment the trick flow's with 1.7rr? Any help would be great. Trying to get a good setup for the track this year. Thanks Jeff,

If you have the money go for the new heads. If you dont Port and polish your GT40s yourself.I did and was happy with the way they turned out.
I dont think Id pay someone 350-400 bucks to do the GT40s when I could spend alittle more for better heads.

Yeah especially when you can get 300-350 bucks for your GT-40's..Figure if you spend 400 on port work your almost at the same cost as a pair of TFS heads that will flow better than your ported GT-40's

So out of the box tfs heads will out flow ported gt-40's? Will i have any valve clearance issues with the tfs heads. Say if i went with the comp cam. Will i have to knotch my pistons? Thanks for the help guy's.
