PiMP and 60lbs Upgrade

As you could probably tell from my other posts I’ve maxed out my 340lph Quantum in tank pump at 70% injector duty on these Siemens 60lbs injectors. So surge tank project parts are on order. I really wanted to get some WOT tuning in on the new engine before the GoodGuys show here at the end of April, but I’ll hold back. I switched to the biggest blower pulley I have and set both AFR and Fuel safety’s so I can keep driving.

New engine is 100% power difference, you guys making big HP are nuts. My relatively tame setup is more than enough fun.

Can never catch the rabbit it seems. Before you know it you got a 427 with twin turbos...

Installed the ATP Designs tank and Aeromotive pump, very happy with the fit and it does not appear to hang or be visible from behind/sides.

I have to “reimagine” my exhaust and make some stuff to secure the fuel lines. Removing the old tanks and associated stuff has made some room.

I’m going to undo all the surge stuff and simplify, so another day under the hood and should be driving again.

Edit: Forgot to add picture

Removing the front tank frees up a ton of room. Iv always been curious what the limit is with stock rails. I'll be well under 600hp max myself.

very nice. Looks great. what pump option did you go with from them?

I have stock fuel rails that are fed by a walbro 450 and -10 an feed and -8 return and I don't have any issues with fueling.

It’s the 450lph pump, I may do rails if I end up upgrading my injectors for some reason.

The '94-'95 rails are supposed to be solid pieces for power.

I was fiddling around with fuel numbers for 500 hp this past weekend, trying to decide if I want to get some heads. Someone take away my VISA, please.

I've reached a point in life where I can afford to do whatever I want, but I have no time to get anything done (I've been working to get a meth/water injection setup installed for over a month). I keep telling myself it's only a few years to retirement.

I can 100% relate :)

How can you live forcing that poor 351 to try a breathe through those tiny ports.

Well, I am trying to help as much as possible with boooooost. But it's mainly about all the other poor parts that are going to break with an additional 100+ horsepower!

@FMOS Racing do you feel as attacked as I do right now??? :cautious: I feel like my manhood was just questioned!!! 😳 They're a perfectly average-sized port! :ROFLMAO:

Those SVE heads are very affordable though! I wonder how well the ports match to the GT-40 lower? Also, what's the factory CC on the GT-40 heads... the SVE heads might bump compression up some. Of course heads are kinda pointless without a bigger cam suited for them... OH NO... here comes the snowball!

I actually think I'd pay the price premium and go with the Twisted Wedges. But what I really think I'll do is hold out for a couple of years, then get a nice motor put together for the red truck and put the 393 in the white truck.

Lawdy that took some doing. New ATP fuel tank, Aeromotive pump and a slight change to the exhaust to clear it.

I have encountered the turn key on and off 3 times to start issue. Only when it’s cold, or first start. Will work trough it, took like 8mb of logs to figure it out.

I would recommend the tank and pump, the fuel filler isn’t exact, one will need a flexible hose that can bend a bit.

Sounds like the pump prime setting might have to be longer and maybe fuel pressure, or both. You're running the same injectors and fuel pressure regulator right?

Same injectors same FPR. Probably do need more prime delay since it takes longer for the surge to pressurize/purge. I will try that today. Thanks!
