Wow these are some awesome looking tires. I only bought a pair for the front. I want just a slightly shorter sidewall for better handling. Hopefully I can make some SCCA Solo 2 events this spring, and test them out. They are rated at 300AA, and the side wall says "Extreme Performance." I think they'll work a little better.
Gee, two tires. Next it will be two more, then the truck will look too tall, so then a 3/4 drop....hmm....
Well, the tires appear to be about 2-3" shorter than the stock Firehawks. I went with the 275/50-17. I bought them from a local import shop for $375. That included shipping. I thought it was a pretty good deal. The tires arrived in a couple days. Now I just have to get some time to smoke off the bald Bridgestone Duelers I have on the back.
Funny thing the salesman said was that they had some of the local kids just drooling on them. They just couldn't imagine how a 275 would fit on an import! I wish I could have been around for that statement. The salesman did straighten them out, and told them that they were going on a Lightning.
It'll be a little while before I get them on and post some pictures, but I will, y'all will just have to be patient.
