I JUST GOT BACK LATE SUNDAY FROM PICKING UP MY NEW RACE TRUCK IN MISSOURI (YES I DROVE TO MISSOURI TO GET IT!).

I GUESS I CAN SPILL THE BEANS NOW. THE NEW RACER IS.......YEP, YALL PROBABLY GUESSED IT...........A RANGER.

IT'S GOT ALL THE RACE GOODIES AND NOTHING MORE. IT'S GUTTED LIKE A TROPHY BLUEISH & WEIGHS LESS THAN JUSTIN'S SKINNY A$$ (J/K BUDDY!).

I HAVE TO DO A FEW THINGS BEFORE I LEAVE FOR THE SPRINGNATIONALS NEXT TUESDAY, SO I'M REALLY PRESSED FOR TIME, PARTS, AND CASH.
HOPEFULLY I CAN GET A FEW PASSES IN THIS MONSTER BEFORE I GET TO FLORIDA TOO. ANYONE KNOW ATCO'S RACE SCHEDULE (TIMES & SUCH) FOR THIS WEEKEND AND TEST & TUNE THIS WEEK? ALSO, CAN I RUN AN OPEN HEADER IN TEST & TUNE ON THURSDAY NITE?

I KNOW IT'S NOT A LIGHTNING GUYS, BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK? IT IS A BAD-AZZ FORD PICKUP!
OH YEA, IT'S NOT BLUE RALPH. IT'S PURPLE. IT'S THAT FACTORY FORD PURPLEISH COLOR FROM THE LATE 90'S, THAT CAME ON F15O'S, ESCORTS, AND PROBES. WELL, I'LL CERTAINLY STICK OUT IN THE CROWD! MY FATHER HAS ALREADY NICKNAMED IT "PLUM CRAZY", LOL.
I'M NOT THRILLED ABOUT THE COLOR, BUT WHATEVER. THAT'S THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES RIGHT NOW.
THAT WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST THING I SAID WHEN I PULLED UP IN MISSOURI....."OH SH!T.....IT'S FU@KIN PURPLE!"

Well Ralph, I didn't think of that! The ladies will like it....and some of the light footed men (yuck!) too.
I'm thrashing to get her finished & tech worthy before we leave for the springantionals on tuesday. I'm running all over tryingo get mufflers shipped and someone to weld them up by tomorrow, so maybe I can make some passes at E-town on saturday, but it's not looking promising. They're calling for rain/snow so I'll be walking into bradenton blind.

I have no clue how to post pics here, so maybe I can email some to someone to post them?

Guys I looked at this truck Friday afternoon with Keith. This truck looks Awesome & You should here it when he Fires it Up!!!!! It looks & sounds like a LOW 10 Second Ranger!!!! Keith says it is suppost to Run Low 12's but It Must run Faster than that!!!! Keith has already told me that when he returns from Bradenton, FL. he will install (NOS) which should easly put him in the Low 11's - High 10's depending on the (NOS) Shot!!!!!! Keith is one of our DelValLO Members to look out for this Season because he has the truck to take the TOP SPOT in 2002!!!:tu: :tu: :tu:

I have one question for you Captain!!! Did you leave room in the bed of the truck for the Viking grill;t How are you gonna find time running your truck with a bunch of lunk heads working under you at the restaurant. You seem to have a busy schedule at your job can you make the time!!!!

I WILL have time to race this thing this year! Actually, I don't think they (the managment) fully realize the time I'll be spending at the different tracks all over the country this season. The ball busting has begun, but I'll laugh last! They like to make jokes about my "pink" L and now my purple "barney" race truck, and even about sponsoring me and painting little pizzas on my helmet, but they'll be regreting that when I'm gone alot this summer!

Oh, and Ralph buddy? ME take over te top spot? HELLO?!?!?! Can we say Ralph's 9 second turbo monster? LOL!
Oh, and make sure you tell Jason your buddy Captain wants to check out his truck in Bradenton.....maybe even sit in that monster?!?!?!?!?!

Wish me luck guys......I leave for the NMRA Springnationals in Bradenton, Florida on tuesday morning/afternoon. Wish some of the DELVALLO could be down there with me. The NMRA site www.nmraracing.com should have updates on qualifying & eliminations if you're interested. They usually post te in the "hardcore drag racng tech section" if they're not on the front page. Keep an eye out for Captain #11023 in the truck class and Big Bobby Macdonald #6 in the drag radial class.
